If you’d like a make-sell arrangement in the autograph business a good way to do so is to purchase autographs at an auction and then turn around and sell them for a profit.  It is best to buy an entire collection and then sell off each autograph on a separate basis.

If you would like to purchase autographs at auction in order to sell them for profits you may wish to look through autograph books that have been offered up for sale with signatures inside that can bring a fair price.  There are two options you have once you have bought the book.

The first option is to take all the pages, go to a scanner and scan them and then upload to auction sites.  You will want to create separate auctions for each autograph.

The second idea is to take all the pages out and have them mounted with a picture.  The picture aspect should make them easier to sell.  Next, you may auction each page separately

Yet another way is to purchase autographs at auctions as an entire collection and then sell each separately.  You at times will be able to make a discounted purchase as most persons do not want to buy a large lot of autographs in order to attain one they want.  The downside is you will have an inventory of autographs that are not wanted.  However that said if you generate a sizeable profit on a few it is really of little consequence.  You can sell the less popular autographs at a lower price point and attain a little bit of profit or use them for promotional purchases and give them away to potential prospects.

Another way to locate autographs is to look on eBay for autographs that have low beginning bids and no reserve to bid upon.  Also check out a misspelling site on eBay and locate autographs that have misspellings.   These types of autographs will generally have few bids.  This is due to the fact most persons cannot locate them by way of the search engines.

You can also purchase autographs at local auction houses.  If they currently have no autographs for you to purchase you may ask the house to contact you should they attain a collection of autographs.  You may wish to visit auction houses that specifically deal with autographs.  The drawback is it is not as likely you will receive an autograph at a truly bargain price; however, here there is the opportunity to buy an autograph collection and to sell it by the means mentioned in some of the preceding paragraphs.

Keep in mind when you buy auction autographs you will want to assure they are the real deal meaning not devised by a secretary, stamped signatures or pre-printed signage.

Lastly always stick to your price in order to generate revenue.
